Entries are coming in for 40th Ovington celebration regatta at Derwent Reservoir SC 27th/28th August. Running as part of the regatta is a Musto Skiff open meeting, a 29er Northern series event and a Solution meeting.
We have live bands lined up for Friday and Saturday evening, a marquee, giant inflatable games, extra outdoor bar and a gourmet hog roast. Plenty of space on site for camping/motorhomes and few neighbours to disturb!
There is even some racing, organised by Howard Steavenson: 3 races on the Saturday split between asymmetric and conventional fleets/courses, followed by an 'all in' pursuit race on the Sunday.
This celebration regatta is open to all boats with PY 1200 or faster. We have entries starting (as Ovington Boats did) with an Enterprise, through to 49ers and VX Ones. We have well known sailing photographer Tim Olin lined up to be on the water both days to get the action shots.
