8 Tasers took part in the Loch Earn Sailing Club Final Fling over the weekend of 24th/25th September.

Saturday brought some very challenging conditions and a shifty F2/3. Race one was won by Graeme Busby from Helensburgh by less that a boat length from John and Mandy Stock from Lymington with Colin & Mandy Tait from the home club in third. The second race held in similarly shifty conditions and was again won by Busby who managed to avoid the parking lot at the first mark to pull away into clearer breeze, second were Mark and Sandy Homer also from Helensburgh, the Tait’s again were third.

Sunday started damp but it cleared and the third races was sailed in a light F2 easterly breeze this time blowing straight down the loch and much steadier. Colin Tait crewed by one of his sons led from start to finish, Graham Donaldson frm Loch Earn was second and in third were some more members of the Tait Clan, 12 year old Sean Tait crewed by his Mum Mandy sailed superbly to finish third. The Final race again started as a bit of a drifter with everyone looking over their shoulders at the approaching clouds and wondering when the wind would arrive. Graeme Busby led the drift to the first mark and headed for the clouds picked up the building breeze and led to the finish, in second the ever improving Sean Tait with Graham Donaldson in Third.
