The Royal Cornwall Yacht Club has confirmed sponsors for its forthcoming Challenge Cup Regatta for IRC yachts, which will see two days of racing in Falmouth Bay over July 9th and 10th.

Ancasta Yacht Brokers, who have west country offices in Falmouth, Mylor and Plymouth have come onboard as co-sponsor, together with Jagermeister UK, importers of the iconic spirit.

The IRC rule is the leading handicap system worldwide, and grand prix events such as the Rolex Sydney-Hobart and Commodores Cup race are run under using the system.

20 teams are expected to contest the regatta, including sportsboats, J-boats, and Half Tonners. The local J111 'Black Dog' and Half Tonners 'Miss Whiplash' and 'Per Elisa' will be among the favourites.
