A good fleet of sixty boats turned out for this week's tenth race in the Evening Race Series.
With the wind from the SW at around 10-14 knots all boats had a running start to the Royal London race mark down tide and then headed north out into the Solent.
In classes One and Two the boats had to make an tactical decision as to which route to take on the beat back to Prince Consort buoy.
Class 1 saw three Etchells enter for the first time, with Calum Healey in Mano, just being beaten to the finish line by Derek Saunders in Incisor and still saving his time. The Etchells World Championship is being held in Cowes this September so we hope to see a few more local boats joining us for some practice.
In the Sonar class Barry Byham in Dolphin continued his unbeaten run of first places.
