Team GB sailors training at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy (WPNSA) for the 2016 Sailing World Cup this month and entering their final preparation prior to the Rio Olympic Games have congratulated top placed youths racing at WPNSA in the PA Consulting UK RS Feva National Championship.

Dylan Fletcher and Alain Sign flying the flag for Great Britain this summer in the 49er class presented prizes to aspiring young RS Feva sailors after 4 days of close racing at Weymouth and Portland.

Dylan and Alain, double European Champions who recently took bronze at the 49er World Championships were the centre of attention at the final WPNSA prize giving ceremony, shaking hands with Freddie Peters and Louis Johnson, PA Consulting UK RS Feva National Champions. An exhilarating end to the event raced in 22-29 knots, second place went to Louis Wright and Jamie Allen with 3rd taken by brothers Henry and Rupert Jameson having taken a 1st in the final race.

Mark Nicholls, RYA Youth Racing Manager, said of the host venue: "WPNSA is a World Class venue for Youth racing and training and is used across all Youth & Junior Class Associations and British Youth Sailing activity."

A poignant time for the WPNSA, 2016 marks 4 years since the London 2012 sailing events. The venue continues as a sustainable world class sporting venue for Olympic hopefuls as well as RYA youth classes inspiring the next generation of sailors.

The PA Consulting UK RS Feva Nationals was a successful event on the annual calendar attracting big youth racing fleets and also forms part of the 2016 RS Feva Eurocup Series.
