Second event in the 2016 Hansa National TT Series and the first event in the Hansa Southern TT Series

Fifteen boats from the Hansa stable arrived at Burghfield Sailing Club on Friday 29 April. The weather forecast had not been promising yet despite that 4 races were held in excellent conditions with constant moderate to fresh winds. The race officers set a trapezoid course that allowed the boats to race on all points of the compass.

The Liberty Class had incredibly close sailing with the first three all having 6 points with the result being decided on count back. Tessa Watkiss of Frensham Pond was placed first. Lindsay Burns also of Frensham was the clear winner in the 2.3 Class. James Woosnam again from Frensham won the 303 one person class and Philip Hall and Hugh de Iongh from Chesil and Glynis Dawes and Hugh Lansdowne from Tideway tied on points in the 303 two person class with first place again being decided on countback.
