If you are reading this, then chances are you will already be hooked on sailing - but you may know of somebody who is yet to experience the thrill of taking to the water - so share this article and bombard their inbox! Sailing was one of our most successful sports at London 2012 and Team GB will be hoping to replicate their success in Rio this year.
Contrary to popular belief however, it does not have to be elitist or expensive, and Marconi are giving you the opportunity to try this out for FREE on 21st May 2016 on the beautiful River Blackwater.
As part of the RYA 'Push The Boat Out' Campaign, the club will be hoping to expand on their already thriving membership by laying on a fleet of boats for guests to try out. We will have something to suit all interests and ages, from stable family dinghies to twin trapeze catamarans and everything in between. Guests will be guaranteed a fantastic experience, warm weather (subject to change!) and above all a very warm welcome from club members.
In addition there will be face painting throughout the day and returning for a third year our ever popular craft making tent which will keep the kids entertained. Those not taking part on the water will be able to take in the spectacular views of the River Blackwater. Our club is set against the backdrop of the exclusive Osea Island resort which is a short boat ride away.
Catering will be provided by our friendly Galley Team and club members will be on hand to show guests around the site and answer any questions. What's more, any guest who joins on the day will have their membership joining fee waived - representing a saving of £50!
