Enter the Selden Merlin Rocket National Championship by the 15th May for your chance to win a brand new HD Sails Jib, which comes with set up advice from Andy "Taxi" Davis. The winner will be drawn from the entries received by the 15th May. This year the Championship will be hosted by Penzance Sailing Club from the 13th - 19th August.

The Merlin Rocket class is currently enjoying its 70th anniversary and has been hailed as one of the most influential Dinghy classes in the UK. Some of the biggest names on the dinghy racing scene, along with past and present Olympians, have been drawn to the class over the years. The challenging mixture of technical innovation, exciting close racing and the relaxed, fun and friendly approach to the après sail all contribute to the Merlin Rocket experience.

The class are always eager to encourage new faces to the fleet and are this year offering a 50% discount to first time helms who have never competed at a Merlin Rocket National Championship before. In addition to this, the organisers are offering a boat matching service to helms and crews that want to take part. Discounted entry is also offered to youth sailors, aged 25 and under, as well as older boats with a sail number of 3600 or below.

If you have admired the class from afar or wondered what it would be like to have a go, then please get in touch with the Championship organisers who will do their best to get you on the water!
