Happy Easter Sailing!
A single sock, holey gloves and a base-layer a little crisp from too many washes – does this sound like your kitbag? The season officially starts this weekend with four days of sailing – our team will certainly be enjoying time on the water.
Today is the right day to check your kit bag, leave it until Friday and you may not enjoy the sailing quite as much! What do we have to offer if your kit doesn’t look as inviting as the champagne conditions we are all dreaming of?
BASE LAYER- A Base Layer is an inexpensive and very effective addition to your kit bag, early in the season the air and water temperatures are still low so consider the P&B BEST SELLER- Musto Active Baselayer
Every second counts so make sure your SAILING WATCH- is not faulty, if you need a new one then a keen seller is the Sailing Watch with countdown features, a vital bit of kit. P&B BEST SELLER- Optimum Time OS1436 Sailing Watch Red.
Sore hands are no fun, salt on blisters hurts so make sure you have GLOVES that offer the right protection for the type of sailing you are doing, consider this great all-rounder P&B BEST SELLER- Gill Championship Glove.
Toasty toes make for happy sailors, SOCKS are the key here, don’t forget socks for over your drysuit (much easier to put your boots on!), under your drysuit or for the really hardy wetsuit wearers then P&B BEST SELLER- Zhik Superwarm Socks are a must.
Lastly your head, apparently we lose 40% of your heat through your head, we have no idea if that is true or not it might depend on how much hair you have! however we all benefit from a good, WARM HAT. Keep one in a pocket or your life jacket so you can put it on at any point before or during a race. P&B BEST SELLER- Zhik Beanie.
