The RYA are delighted to announce that today, RYA Member Reward Partners Spinlock have extended their member offer for 2016 to include the latest in flotation technology for dinghy and boating, the Wing & Foil PFD's (Personal Flotation Device).

Joining their existing offer on the Cento Junior Lifejacket, RYA members will now also be able to enjoy a discount of 25% for Personal Members, 30% for Gold Members and 50% for RYA Instructors on the compact, lightweight and striking Wing & Foil PFD's.

"Wing & Foil PFD's joined our range last year and with a focus on fit and performance have been quickly adopted by both youth and older sailors and we are pleased to share this new range with the RYA membership", commented James Hall, Spinlock Sales & Marketing Manager.

The compact minimalist design of the new 50N flotation vests provide the required buoyancy with little impact on the crews' performance in high action situations.

WING (side zip) and FOIL (front zip) both use new stretch materials to ensure a close body fit. Tapered foam and tailoring, coupled with snag free hidden adjustment, offer an ultra-low profile finish. Distinctive in their monochrome colour block and structured shaping, WING and FOIL both offer streamlined pockets, internal grip print, and 'dry coated' materials to reduce water absorption.

"Land Rover BAR (Ben Ainslie Racing) crews and Academy have been training wearing the 'WING' buoyancy aid on-board the Nacra 20, AC45 and GC32, trialling modifications to incorporate into the final PFD's for racing on-board the Americas Cup Class, as part of our partnership as Official Supplier of Personal Protective Equipment", James added.

Features include:

  • Low profile with low snag body fit system
  • Tapered high cut for action & mobility
  • Internal 'GRIP' print
  • Stretch mesh outer pocket with internal security pocket
  • Front & Side Zip versions
  • Articulated back panelling (FOIL)
  • Dry coated elastic side panels to reduce water absorption
  • Available in Sizes S,M,L,XL
  • 2 year warranty
"Spinlock have been an RYA member reward partner for some time now and we are delighted that they have extended their offer to allow members the benefit of enjoying the very latest technology at an exclusive member rate", commented Conor Swift, RYA Membership Development Manager.
