It's all action with the Topper class as sailors prepare for their first big event of 2016. ITCA GBR are extremely pleased to welcome for 2016 our Gold and Silver partner sponsors.

Sailors and the class will benefit hugely from the announcement that Volvo Cars will be the classes new Gold sponsor with the continued support of GJW Direct Insurance also, as our Gold partners. The Silver team are Optimum Time, Click and Sailing Solutions by Rooster, we would like to thank them for their continued support in this Olympic year.

With Storm Imogen out of the way and Jack not planning to make an appearance until March, The Topper class is all set for its Winter Regatta. It has been for many years a great bench mark for all the hard work put in by young sailors, training up and down the country and across from the Irish sea over the colder months.

ITCA GBR are in full swing preparing for the event and entries so far are 170 +with entry still open for a number more days.

Two race areas will be used with Andy Moore taking the flags out to run the 4.2 fleet,he will give his guiding but fair RO duties for the younger sailors while the 5.3 s will be on a larger course and flighted.

The Class association's link to the entry page is at www.gbrtopper.co.uk/news.php

Please feel free to email the secretary if you have any questions regarding membership or entry procedure.

The Friendly Class looks forwarded to seeing new and old faces in Weymouth and Portland Sailing Academy.
