Icicle Series at Highcliffe Sailing Club - Day 3

by Sarah Desjonqueres 8 Feb 2016 11:36 GMT 7 February 2016

Imminent Imogen Impedes Icicle

Whether it was the tail end of Henry or the warm up session for Imogen, races 5&6 of Highcliffe Sailing Club's Icicle Series fell foul of the powerful storm systems blowing our way at the moment. With the anemometer showing a constant 33 knots and a forecast predicting twice that speed again, the Race Officer elected to abandon racing by 9.30 in the morning.

Hats off to the valiant/optimistic/crazy few who ventured to the club, ready to race. We look forward to racing again in 2 weeks, 21st February at 10.30 for the last 2 races in the series.

Highcliffe Sailing club always welcomes new members and visitors offering harbour and sea racing all year round. Further details can be found at www.highcliffesailing.co.uk or find us on Facebook.
