YES - Young Europeans Sailing 2016 - Preview

by Hermann Hell 6 Feb 2016 10:50 GMT 14-17 May 2016

Five weeks before Kieler Woche (June 18 to 26), the YES will invite the sailing youth to flock to Kiel-Schilksee's Olympic Marina. About 650 young athletes from more than ten nations will be racing in ten classes to determine their respective champions.

The organizing clubs Kieler Yacht-Club and Norddeutscher Regatta Verein are especially looking forward to hosting the 420 International German Championships with more than 100 boats, and also to the Laser and 470 German Youth Championships. YES titles will also be fought for in the 29er, 420, 470, 505, Europe, Laser 4.7, Laser Std. M, Laser Rad. W, Laser Rad. M and Pirate classes.

As usual, online entries may be coupled with the option to pre-order food (sponsored boot Düsseldorf) for both Saturday and Sunday. If you wish to do so, please make a reservation via the online entry system. The chill-out area in the Vaasa hall will again provide sailors with free WiFi and music.

The notice of race for the YES – Young Europeans Sailing 2016 (May 14 to 16, 420: May 14 to 17) is now online and may be downloaded here.

Online entries at Manage2Sail are also possible from now, so get started on planning your racing activities for the sailing summer 2016!

In case you're still looking for overnight accommodation during the YES: There'll be a campsite right next to the Olympic Marina. No reservation required.

We're looking forward to your entry to the YES – Young Europeans Sailing 2016!
