Conditions could not have been better with eight races completed over the three days in a steady south-westerly beneath sunny skies for sailors coming from North Europe, including eight German, three Swedish and two Russian teams.

In total there were 34 boats jostling for position on the start, confirming Monaco's reputation as the European winter regatta centre to prepare for the upcoming season's big meetings.

Swedish Oscar Lundqvist (Fanny) won this weekend, eight points in front of the Englishman Charlie Esse (Baby J), who came back with a vengeance on the Sunday, and the German Claas Lehmann (Tre Makreller), who did not win a race but was consistently at the front of the fleet throughout the weekend.

Congratulations for a fine performance by YCM member Stefano Roberti (Piccinina), who managed the most race wins during the weekend, proving that the 18-strong Monegasque fleet is improving all the time.

Next meetings: A Mediterranean classic, the Primo Cup - Trophee Credit Suisse held over the first two weekends of February (5th-7th February and 12th -14th February 2016)

A reminder of the classes competing at the Primo Cup – Trophée Credit Suisse

  • Friday 5th – Sunday 7th February: SB20, Star, Smeralda 888, Surprise, IRC
  • Friday 12th – Sunday 14th February: J/70, Melges 20, Longtze Premier and Diam 24od
The latter are participating for the first time in Monaco with the Primo Cup kicking off their season building up to the Tour de France à la Voile in Nice.

Overall Results: (top three, 8 races, 1 discard)

1. Fanny (Oscar Lundqvist, SWE) 20pts
2. Baby J (Charlie Esse, GBR) 28pts
3. Tre Makreller (Claas Lehmann, GER) 29pts
