Happy New Year offers from RS Sailing

by RS Sailing 29 Dec 2015 09:03 GMT 29 December 2015

A look back at 2015

As 2015 draws to a close we'd like to remind you of a snapshot of activity that has made this year great.

RS Aero continues to fly

The RS Aero Class have been busy this year, the first ever UK Nationals took place at the 2012 Olympic Sailing Venue in Weymouth, followed by the first ever North American Championships at the equally iconic venue of the The Columbia River Gorge in Oregon. With the event year topped off with another first ever - RS Aerocup in Barcelona. The cherry on top for the class however was the recent World Sailing (ISAF) Status, awarded at the November Conference held in China.

2016 is set to be another exciting year - so watch this space!

Speaking of flying...

The America's Cup Community Sailing Programme has also taken off this Autumn, after the official launch during the America's Cup World Series event in in Bermuda this year. The Programme is in place to offer Youth sailing experiences to young Bermudians aged 9 to 12 in the run up to the America's Cup.

RS Sailing are extremely proud to have supported the programme with the supply of eight RS Fevas to the Endeavour Program and help introduce youngsters to a sport they will continue with for life.

RS Quest Launch

The new RS Quest, launched at Southampton Boat Show, and designed in conjunction with Sea Cadets has had an extremely exciting first few months, with many clubs and schools looking into updating their own fleets, as well as many Sea Cadet Units across the country eagerly awaiting their RS Quest deliveries.

The RS Quest, with it's removable foredeck and optional symmetric or asymmetric set up has proven versatile for everyone and is certainly the new age dinghy for training and family sailing for 2016.

If you would like more information on the RS Quest - RS Sailing will be at London Boat Show from January 8th - 17th with the RS Quest on display.
