Ten sailing teams prepare to battle at the Boom Bap Match Series 1st Grand Final. The boats will be racing at Douro Marina Circuit at Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal from Saturday 21-Sunday 22 November.

The qualified teams for this race will compete for the grand prize of € 2,500, which will be distributed among the first three places.

The selected teams to participate in this series are: Tiago Roquette; Afonso Leite; António Matos Rosa; João Assoreira; Francisca Barros; Álvaro Marinho; Diogo Costa; Hugo Rocha; Rita Gonçalves; Renato Conde.

Since its inception, the Boom Bap Wear Match Series has grown to become one of the most important sailing events in the North of Portugal.

Organised by Boom Bap Wear in association with BBDouro Sailing Academy, the event offers also a two-day programme featuring entertainment including DJs. All this can be enjoyed at our Lounge Area along the pier or at the riversides of Porto and Gaia.

Boom Bap Wear Match Series is an experience to enjoy with friends, family and sailing fans. The last three matches were clearly a big success by all involved and the visitors described the experience as unique and special due to its great atmosphere.

Boom Bap Wear Match Series uses the America's Cup format - the most famous and prestigious international yachting regatta.

The competition is done with Beneteau First Class 7.5 boats, participating some of the biggest names in the national and international sailing teams and aims to highlight the ability and the talent of each team.

The intense racing is just as exciting for the spectators as it is strategically, tactically and physically challenging for the competing crews. The prize money is €2,500 and the winner of three Grand Finals could win a prize of €10,000.

This is an event not to be missed!
