On 5 September 2015 Notts County Sailing Club hosted the 10th round of the Solo dinghy Rooster Midland Series. Eighteen boats entered and were greeted with a moderate wind gusting to 20 mph from the north which enabled the Race Officer to set a triangle/sausage course for all 3 races while making full use of the lake.

Stuart Hydon, from Shustock SC, won the event finishing 1st in races 1 & 2. Chris Brown, from Draycott SC, finished runner up with 2nd in the first 2 races and a win in the final race. Graham Wilson finished 3rd overall recording 4th and 2nd in the final 2 races. The highest placed sailor from Notts County SC was Mike Thomas who finished 5th overall.

Many thanks go to the race team and the safety crews for the smooth running of the event and to the visiting competitors who came from as far away as Leigh & Lowton SC.
