National Redwing Championship at Looe Sailing Club - Day 2

by Brian Carvey 25 Aug 2015 09:01 BST 22-28 August 2015

Day 2 of the National Redwing Championships being hosted by Looe Sailing Club started with heavy rain greeting the competitors after Sunday's fine weather.

Races 1 and 2 had seen two different winners with R226 sailed by Matt Jaycock and Francis Marshall winning race 1 and R245 sailed by Dave Jackman and John Crabb winning race 2.

The force four gusting 5 north westerly wind made position changes regular but in the end it was one of the two new Redwings, launched ten days ago and built by Looe boat builder Clifford Adams, R252 sailed by Paul Dunn and Chris Jackman that won the race.
