A family affair

The Comet Trio Nationals, sponsored by Noble Marine and held at Exe Sailing Club 21-23 Aug 2015 attracted 22 entries. Extremes of weather were encountered, ranging from a very rough sea with a Southerly 15-17 kts for 2 races with the Horlock brothers gaining one win each.

Followed next day by near calm, allowing only one race which had to be shortened and won by Martin Luce; his first ever National win.

On the final day after heavy rain and a postponement due to no wind, 2 races were sailed in a gentle 7-9 kts, both won by past champions Andrew and Caroline McAusland.

The class has a new champion in Alex Horlock, beating past champions brother Iain and dad Bob.
