Fans visiting the Louis Vuitton America's Cup World Series Portsmouth will be able to meet some of Britain's best sailors throughout the weekend.

Members of the British Sailing Team will be attending the regatta from 24-26 July, with the public able to attend Q&A sessions hosted with the sailors, as well as meeting them in person at the RYA's Get Afloat stand.

Friday will see 470 duo Sophie Weguelin and Eilidh McIntyre helping out at the RYA stand from 10:30am until 11:30am before answering questions on the ticket-only FanZone Stage at 12:45pm and returning to the stand from 1:30pm until 2:30pm. Stuart Bithell, 49er European Championships bronze medallist, is hosting a Q&A session on the Waterfront Festival stage from 2:00pm alongside European Champion windsurfer Bryony Shaw. Bryony and Stuart can also be found manning the RYA's stand between 12:00pm and 1:00pm and later on between 3:00pm and 4:00pm.

As racing begins on Saturday, newly crowned Laser World Champion Nick Thompson will be on the Waterfront Festival Arena stage from 12:30pm, with 49er European bronze medallist John Pink and 49erFX sailor Charlotte Dobson taking to the FanZone Stage at 12:45pm. Nick will also be helping out at the RYA stand from 11:00am until 12:00pm and from 2:30 until 3:30pm, whilst fans will get the chance to speak to John and Charlotte in person between 10:00am and 11:00am or from 3:30pm until 4:30pm.

For those attending the final day of racing, there will be a fantastic opportunity to grill London 2012 470 silver medallists Hannah Mills and Saskia Clark on the Waterfront Festival Arena Stage from 12:10pm. Fellow London 2012 silver medallist Nick Dempsey and 49er sailor Alain Sign are set to take to the FanZone Stage at 12:30pm, in between visits to the RYA stand at 10:00am-11:00am and 3:00pm-4:00pm.

There will also be the chance to witness British Sailing Team sailor Dylan Fletcher compete against five other sailors in the International Moth Invitational Regatta from 11:00am every morning. Dylan will be helping out on the RYA stand from 2:30pm-3:30pm and 4:00pm-5:00pm each day.

Podium squad sailors Luke Patience, Elliot Willis, John Gimson, Hannah Diamond, Lucy Macgregor, Ben Saxton, Nicola Groves and Sophie Ainsworth will also be in attendance, providing racing and Olympic campaign insights to guests on the RYA spectator boat.

With the 2016 Rio Olympic Games now less than a year away, the Louis Vuitton America's Cup World Series Portsmouth is the perfect opportunity to quiz the country's elite sailors on every possible aspect of their sailing.

The RYA stand, which will feature a range of simulators, challenges and boats, is located near the western entrance to the Waterfront Festival Arena, and RYA experts will be on hand all weekend to show you easy and affordable getting afloat can be.
