The RYA is delighted to introduce its latest member reward partner, Red Funnel Isle of Wight Ferries, offering members an exclusive 10% discount on Day Return, Period Return and Single foot passenger pricing on both Red Funnel's vehicle ferry and Hi-Speed 'Red-Jet' routes from Southampton.

"With such a large boating community operating out of the Isle of Wight and so many sailing events taking place from the Island, thousands of our members can often be found travelling on the Red Funnel fleet, so having Red Funnel come on board as a member benefit partner is a fantastic addition to existing 50 plus member partners", commented Conor Swift, RYA Membership Development Manager.

The original Isle of Wight ferry company, Red Funnel, operates from their home port of Southampton and is the gateway to the Isle of Wight with its fleet of passenger and vehicle ferries and the speedy Red Jets.

Crossings take 55-60 minutes on the passenger and vehicle ferries and approximately 25 minutes on the Red Jet and operate 24/7, 365 days a year. From sailing events such as Cowes Week to Round the Island, the Old Gaffers Festival to the Cowes Classic Powerboat Race, or one of the Islands many festivals; if you're taking part or heading to the Island to simply soak up the atmosphere, as an RYA member you can now save money on your travel costs.

Jonathan Green, marketing & communications director commented "We are delighted to offer RYA members a 10% ferry discount when travelling between Southampton and East and West Cowes on the Isle of Wight. Cowes is the spiritual home of world yacht racing and we look forward to welcoming RYA members coming to the Isle of Wight for a leisurely sail or to race in one of the many Cowes regattas and events which are held throughout the year".

Offering a level of service that strives to exceed expectations once on board you will find a great range of locally sourced food, real coffee, a well-stocked bar and relaxing lounges with modern facilities such as air conditioning, TV's and FREE WiFi.

If you love a sea breeze, the outer decks of the passenger and vehicle ferries offer fine views of the Solent - there's even a Top Deck BBQ on Red Eagle on busier days!

Red Funnel has a history spanning over 153 years in its present form but with roots stretching back as far as 1820. Much has changed since Red Funnel's paddle steamers ran excursions from Southampton as far as Brighton, Cherbourg and Torquay but they remain as passionate about delivering great customer service and providing value for money.
