New MultihullCup regatta comes to the Mediterranean

by MultihullCup 9 Jul 2015 12:19 BST 18-20 September 2015

The Mediterranean is set to see the arrival of the MultihullCup to the regatta season this summer. Designed for performance multihulls over 50ft, this innovative new regatta will offer owners of larger powerful cruising catamaran and trimaran yachts the chance to take part in a racing event designed specifically for their craft.

The inaugural regatta will be held between 18th and 20th September in the sailing mecca of South West Mallorca. Taking advantage of the easy access, reliable breeze and stunning islands, the MultihullCup is to be based at the glamorous Port Adriano Superyacht marina.

As the newest marina for large-scale yachts and superyachts, Port Adriano offers the ideal venue for a regatta, thanks to its collection of first-class restaurants and state of the art marina facilities.

Rob Grimm, Organiser of the MultihullCup said: "Until now, owners of large performance cruising multihulls have had limited options to take part in regattas within the Mediterranean area, and the MultihullCup sets to put this right.

"We already have a number of interesting multihulls signed up to take part in this event, and look forward to creating not just a new regatta, but a new community of multihull cruisers and performance yachting enthusiasts."

If you are interested in taking part in the MultihullCup, please visit www.multihullcup.com to register your vessel. Alternatively, please contact Andrea Grimm on .
