Mark Chisnell previews the action for Leg 9 – the final leg of the 2014-15 Volvo Ocean Race. It's the second shortest leg at just 960 miles but it's a long way from straight-forward. The course takes the fleet into the tides and congestion of the English Channel, through the narrow Straits at Dover, then into the shallow waters of the North Sea.
There's an enforced pit-stop in The Hague to negotiate, then a restart before the final finish in Gothenburg on the west coast of Sweden. And with two of three podium places wide open, it's going to be full on – the action starts tomorrow, June 16th at 15:00 (all times UTC, but that's 17:00 local).
