Nine visitors joined four home boats for the RS200 Open Meeting at Staunton Harold SC. In the shelter of the club house basking in the sunshine conditions seemed ideal. However on the start line a stiff north westerly was soon causing fun. Simon Kelsall, race officer set a good windward/leeward course.

Race 1 was won by Neil Barrett and Sophie Jones followed by Keith Escritt and Andrea Clough visiting from Rutland and Yorkshire Dales respectively. The wind was rising between races and some of those gusts were vicious. It didn't stop Neil and Keith gaining another 1 and 2 with Peter and Tim Grey from Staunton taking third. Lunch followed with a well earned rest.

Race 3 produced new winners, Peter and Tim. Was it a case of Tim recruiting Peter for youth and strength or was it for Peter a case of DTR (Dad to rescue) with Tim's wisdom and experience. Whatever it was, it worked. They sailed a great race winning by a comfortable margin. Keith and Andrea again produced the goods with another second with Neil & Sophie third.

Overall Results: (top three)

1st Neil Barrett & Sophie Jones (Rutland SC)
2nd Peter & Tim Grey (Staunton Harold SC)
3rd Keith Escritt & Andrea Clough (Yorkshire Dales SC)
