Datchet Water Sailing Club has just got recharged and gone electronic with the creation of a new MYA affiliated Radio Sailing Club "Datchet Water Radio Sailing Club". These fast and very sophisticated yachts will be sailing on a regular weekly basis from 16 May at DWSC, Queen Mother Reservoir, Horton, Slough.

There will be four ISAF international classes sailed which are:

  • International One Metre
  • International Marblehead
  • International Ten Rater
  • International A Class

These yachts are controlled via a 2 channel radio control with a winch to sheet in and out and a servo to control the rudder. The sails have the same controls as full size yachts with downhaul, cunningham, kicking straps etc to apply the sail trim to suit conditions. In addition each yacht has a number of rigs to sail in various wind conditions up to 50mph.

  • ISAF RYA recognised
  • Fleet racing to RRS
  • National and international classes
  • Club, District, National, European & World Championships
  • Raced by juniors to Olympic medallists
  • Technically challenging for Racer, Boat builder & Designer

Come down to Datchet Water on the 16 May at 10am for DWRSC open day and have a go. If you already own any of the 4 international classes then bring it along and join in the racing.

ADDICTIVE FOR ALL!
