The RS Elite Class Association is gearing up for one of their best years sailing ever on the South Coast in 2015.

They kick their events off in style with the 2015 RS Elite National Championships this year held at the Royal Lymington Yacht Club from the 30th July to the 2nd August.

Closely following on is Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week from the 8th to the 14th August which this year includes the RS Elite Southern Area Championships which will run in tandem with Cowes Week over the first four days of the event.

This year sees the RS Elite class celebrate its 10th year anniversary and that, together with the resurgence of the Hayling Island fleet, see expected numbers for all events this year outstrip previous attendances with at least double the competitors expected during Cowes Week and a record number for the National Championships in Lymington also on the cards.

The standard of the sailors in the RS Elite class never fail to impress with many 'names' from the world of national, international and Olympic classes now regularly racing Elites. This year's events will see existing and previous Cowes Week Champions and RS Elite National Champions competing with ex Olympians.

The gloves are off for some fantastic racing but we mustn't forget the RS Elite fleets legendary capacity to party as hard as they race and this year is shaping up to be one of the best ever.
