America's Cup World Series, Portsmouth partners with best of Portsmouth

This Summer's 'must attend' sporting event - the America's Cup World Series, Portsmouth (23-26 July) - has joined forces with two leading Portsmouth based companies; A Stones Throw Events Co and Gunwharf Quays.

The prestigious "A Stones Throw Events Co", the team behind the Victorious Festival and the Portsmouth Beer Festival, are now 'the Official Event Delivery Provider' for the America's Cup World Series, Portsmouth. A Stones Throw Events Co. are a home grown team, with extensive local knowledge and a passion for providing affordable and quality events for the Portsmouth community and wider area. Their experience of delivering world class entertainment in Portsmouth will ensure a great event is delivered in July.

Director of A Stones Throw Events Co., James Ralls says "We're thrilled that the America's Cup World Series is coming to Portsmouth - it's great for our city, and we're really happy to be able to help with our experience from Victorious Festival. We are currently planning the evening entertainment programme and it will be a fantastic show, more details will be announced in April."

The South of England's leading premium retail outlet, Gunwharf Quays, owned by Land Securities, has joined the event as one of the key 'Official Supporters'. The vibrant shopping and leisure destination, which boasts a unique historical harbour side location, is the ideal place for fans to explore and relax. It will be a key hub for the America's Cup World Series, Portsmouth due to its convenient accessibility by car, train, on foot and even by boat. Through the partnership Gunwharf Quays will provide the berths for key team and organiser support boats, pontoon pick-ups, as well as specific information areas to support the event.

America's Cup World Series, Portsmouth, Event Director, Leslie Greenhalgh commented "We are delighted to announce we will be working with two of the biggest business names in Portsmouth. The count down to the 2015 America's Cup World Series, Portsmouth has started, huge quantities of tickets have already been registered for or bought, with over 88,000 bookings already made to date. Tickets to the free-to-view Waterside Festival Arena have sold out for the Saturday and Sunday and the official Fanzone Arena is selling out fast. Fans are encouraged to secure their place now to avoid disappointment. Ticket prices start from £20 per day.
