Soto Expo Naval at Club de Yates de Higuerillas - Day 1

The Expo Naval started today with three races. The event is taking place at the Club de Yates de Higuerillas and will last until Sunday. Five Soto 40 are competing: "Itaú" (CHI011), "Santander" (CHI012), "Mitsubishi" (CHI015), "Apolonia" (CHI026) and "Pisco Black" (CHI016). Dag Von Appen' Itaú is the leader of the Overall with 4 points.

The first race started with a 9 - 10 knots wind. Jorge Araneda's "Santander" kept the first position the entire course and finished in first position, followed by "Itaú", "Mitsubishi" and "Apolonia", which arrived second, third and fourth, respectively.

In the second race, third leg, there was a change of course to the left and the wind was established at 250º. "Itaú" managed to stay as the leader of the fleet during all the race, sailing ahead of "Mitsubishi", "Santander", and "Apolonia".

The first position was to "Itaú" again in the third windward - leeward completing the races of today. This time "santander" crossed the finish line in second place, followed by Horacio Pavez' Mitsubishi and Jaime Charad' Apolonia.

Pisco Black will start competing tomorrow.
