15-16 November 2014
This Saturday sees the Gul National 12 Series finale at Northampton Sailing Club. The Gul series has had 7 events ranging from Salcombe in the South West and Annandale in Scotland. 56 boats have competed so far and the overall winner will have shown sailing skills in a wide variety of conditions from the waves of Pevensey Bay to the confined waters of Ripon Sailing Club.
The major trophies are still up for grabs. Graham Camm and Zoe Ballantine have made a late run to force, like last year, a sail off against Tom Stewart and Andrea Ralph. The Admirals division is an all Burghfield affair contrasted by the widely travelled Alan Beeton and Helen Barry who snuck past Neal and Freya Lilywhite at the last event. The non-foilers is a straight fight between Nigel and Chris White versus Jeremy and George who have a three point deficit to make up.
Racing on Saturday starts at 12.30 and there are three back to back.
The event is followed by the prizegiving and smartish dinner. To avoid disappointment please book your dinner on the forum national12.org/index.shtml or email . We need to know numbers before the day!
On Sunday there are two races back to back in the morning to complete the prestigious Northampton Open Meeting.
Series results so far can be found here.
