Fernhurst Books have recently published a number of new and exciting books and eBooks for a range of different sailors.

For Topper sailors there is the new and improved Topper Book, written by long-standing Topper Head Coach, Dave Cockerill, and former National and European Champion, John Caig. A completely updated and revised edition of this best-selling book, it shows how to rig, sail and race the Topper, right up to World Championship standard. It's packed full of advice, go-fast tips, photo sequences and diagrams – an essential read for all Topper sailors.

Team racing aficionados will be pleased to know that Chris Atkins' best-selling Team Racing Companion is now available as an eBook, as well as the original splash proof format.

Yachts & Yachting wrote of this book: "Authoritatively written by Chris Atkins, a team racing competitor, coach and umpire of some 40 years' experience, the book crams heaps of expertise into just 23 pages, with diagrams and plenty of summary bullet-pointed sections throughout, ensuring something on every page for every level of experience. You'd be well-armed going into any team racing event after having read this book. This is a book that you will keep in your kit bag or pocket, and refer to – again and again...!"

For those who want to understand more about the technical aspects of the sport, Ivar Dedekam's Sail & Rig Tuning, which has been a best-seller for over 15 years, is also now available as an eBook.

Fantastic computer graphics systematically explain how to tune your yacht, keelboat or dinghy. This beautifully illustrated and well-organised book shows you step by step how to trim your sails and rig for maximum performance. Ivar Dedekam's revolutionary approach to sail and rig tuning tackles the practical and realistic elements of tuning your boat as well, as the theory of sail aerodynamics.

If a relaxing cruise is more your bag, you can now plan your next West Country cruise with the eighth edition of Mark Fishwick's excellent West Country Cruising Companion now available on eBook. As Dick Durham says: "This first class tome will be essential reading for anyone heading west. It will also add hugely to your enjoyment of this fascinating cruising ground."

Or alternatively, if you want to get to grips with navigation this winter, there's nothing better than Sara Hopkinson's Navigation: A Newcomer's Guide which has also just been released as an eBook. Again Dick Durham provides a strong recommendation: "This excellent book has the best explanation of assessing your course to steer I've ever read."

Along with these new books, there are nearly 150 books and 40 eBooks also available from Fernhurst Books, covering racing, cruising and many other nautical subjects.

Our website (www.fernhurstbooks.com) lists all the books and eBooks available. On the site you can also find videos and other resources to bring the books to life, as well as being able to register to receive details of new titles and exclusive special offers throughout the year.

All the books can be bought direct from www.fernhurstbooks.com, and can be found in all good bookshops, book websites and chandleries.
