Once again we are back at Weir Wood on the 22nd November for the 8.1 National Championship for a one day, sprint series style event.

With up to 8 back to back races planned with the first start not before 11am – this event will certainly warm you up on an autumn day.

Prizes for all categories from Youth to Great Grand Master are provided by Rooster as well as a free after racing hot meal for the entry fee of just £15.

Its certainly an event I look forward to sailing, partly because the rig is so much fun whatever the wind strength and partly because the racing is so tight on a small pool like Weir Wood.

To date we have sold over 450 8.1 rigs, but we welcome sailors who fancy dipping their toe into 8.1 sailing for this exciting day of sprint racing. 8.1 Rig packs are available for £15 for the day which converts your Laser standard configuration into a Rooster 8.1. Please bring your standard lower mast, upper mast and boom with you, our rig pack will provide you with battens, mast extender and sail.

To secure your rig hire, please call Rooster on 01243 389997.
