Bart's Bash at South Bank Sailing Club

31 dinghies from 10 classes made a splendid turnout from South Bank Sailing Club on the Thames near Putney for Bart's Bash on 21st September. It took some time to launch so many down our steep and narrow slipway into a brisk onshore breeze, but they made an impressive sight as they took the start, and almost all completed a three lap race in testing conditions.

Afterwards, competitors and support crew enjoyed a barbeque with fresh burgers, salads and desserts prepared by club members. Thanks go to all who participated in making this a great day for the Club, and particularly to Sara Bennett, our Vice Commodore and Organiser-in-Chief.
