69 competitors from 13 countries have descended on Gouda in the Netherlands to compete at this year's Magic Marine Marblehead Class 2014 World Championships.
Skippers hulls, foils and multiple rigs are being put through a precise and efficient measurement process to ensure all conform to class rules, with the number of those being found outside of class being very low in comparison to past events reflecting a level of build precision and quality across the globe in new equipment that is always looking to better itself. At the conclusion of measurement today a number of warm up races will be held where some last minute tuning and wind pattern familiarity will be sought after by the fleet.
An evening welcome, skipper briefing and opening ceremony will take place tonight and then from 10 am sharp Monday, the first round of racing will commence.
