Volvo Noble Marine RS500 Nationals at the WPNSA - Day 3

by Spod Olive 27 May 2014 13:02 BST 24-26 May 2014

The 1000hrs start was never really going to happen, but we were all there watching the tiny amount of wind shifting all over the place. A long postponement was finally ended when the wind moved, as forecast, to the west and becam rather steadier.

The PRO managed to get 2 races in for the RS500s just before their cut off start time of 1500hrs. Edd Whitehead and Ian Mairs dominated in the first race in the light winds within the harbour. Thefinal rce of the championships saw more place changing, with Tim Wilkins & Chris Tuckett taking their first win of the Championship.

An amazingly close event, with 6 race winners in 8 races, overseen excellently by Bob 'Arkie' Wainwright and his fantastic race team.
