With Ben away tending to his wife after the birth of their beautiful baby daughter this weeks news letter responsibilities have been passed on, so we will take this opportunity to highlight all that we do here in Fareham.
CLOTHING
We stock a stunning array of dinghy clothing from Gill, Gul, Crewsaver, Musto & Zhik for every level of sailor.
Worth highlighting is our excellent range of wetsuits which can be picked up for as little as £70. If a new long john is on your shopping list then the Crewsaver Phase2 is one to come in-store and have a look at; crammed with all the technical characteristics you need when sailing the new Phase2 range has proved to be a popular choice with our customers.
As the warmer weather looks like it's setting in and the events coming thick and fast we have rash vests, poly tops and a large range of spray tops which are great for long days on the water.
For all our keelboat and yacht sailors we also stock some of the best coastal and offshore clothing on the market. With excellent deals on packages and individual items of yacht clothing the time is perfect to pick up a bargain before prices are due to go up at the end of the month.
HARDWARE
Our hardware selection is far and away the best dinghy selection on the south coast with blocks, cleats & fittings from Allen, Harken, Selden, Barton, Clamcleats, RWO, Spinlock, Sea Sure & Wichard to name but a few.
ROPES & RIGGING
With an extensive range of rope from Marlow, Kingfisher & Liros carefully selected by our expert team of dinghy racers there's all you could want for a new halyard or control line. Equipped with all new rigging tools the P&B south team can also provide a number of rigging services whether they are standard or custom requests.
BOOKS & MAGAZINES
We also stock a special range of sailing reading, instructional and informative titles along with the latest yachting mags.
REPAIR
Throughout the year every sailor experiences his fair share of dings, scratches, tears and pulls so here at P&B South we also have epoxy & filler powders from both SP & West System, fibreglass tape & cloth, International paint, varnish and anti-foul, fillers & sealants, Starbrite and Holemenkol cleaners & polish for your boat, sails and covers.
SAILS, COVERS & CUSTOM PROJECTS
Added to that from our own UK based sail loft we stock a range of our popular covers and a variety of unique products – halyard bags, boom sleeves & clew strops etc. We’ll also undertake custom projects, we’re currently making a BBQ cover and other bespoke items for a customer’s boat.
I’ve barely scratched the surface of what’s available from us, added to a can do attitude and expert knowledge derived from the race team we really are the South’s premier dinghy centre.
