Souvenir polo and t-shirts and whisky will be on sale throughout the day and entertainment by a magician will be staged at night.

Linda Pennycook, the club's commodore, said: "The club was formed by a group of gentlemen who were interested in sailing. We've had various premises over the years, including being in the centre of town near St Andrew Square for 47 years from 1902, and in Royal Terrace before moving to Granton Square in 1967. Our motto is affordable sailing for all and we aim to use this historic event to showcase what we can offer to people who want to start sailing. It's going to be a fun weekend and we plan to make it a weekend to remember."
