Looking for something to entertain the family over the bank holiday or merely seeking a new place to sail?

Why not come along to Banbury Sailing Club, join us for 'Cake by the Lake' and support the Sail 4 Cancer charity. As well as delicious cakes, you can also enjoy a sail in one of the club boats and we'll try not to get you too wet!

The club provides training for beginners to the sport as well as racing for the more experienced. On the day, a special membership and training package will be available to visitors. As an RYA registered training centre, we run the RYA Start Sailing course for beginners while more experienced sailors can also access race training, powerboat and other courses which are held throughout the year.

On Sundays from March to December, the Club provides fleet racing for Merlin Rockets, Lasers, GP14s, Solos and Comets and also has a Menagerie fleet with dinghies such as Larks, Wayfarers, Vagos, Phantoms and any other dinghy with a PN over 1000. The club has a number of 2000s, GP14s, Toppers, Laser Funs, Comets and Optimists which members can use free of charge to sail and race.

Members' children are also encouraged to sail and Junior training is run on a number of Saturdays from May through to September. Juniors progress through the RYA's Junior Scheme which teaches them how to sail and race.

Set in beautiful countryside, members can sail at any time except on Open Meeting days and when there are work parties. Many come down to picnic and BBQ in the summer.

Whether you are an experienced sailor simply looking for a new club or a beginner who would like to try out sailing why not come down on Sunday afternoon and see what we are all about. More details can be found on the club's website at www.banburysailing.org.uk.
