This year's Laser Northern Grand Prix Circuit gets underway this weekend on Sunday 6th April, with the first leg of the 17 event series taking place at West Riding SC on Wintersett Reservoir, Ryhill near Wakefield.

Three races are scheduled, best two results to count, with a first race start at 11.00am. In addition to the regular prizes for those at the top of the fleet, there will be a prize for the first Radial and also the first Junior. Entry fee is £12, including lunch and refreshments during the day.

The water level is high and, for the time of year, relatively warm. Home club Laser sailors have been sporting wetsuits for some weeks, with not a dry-suit in the house.

First time visitors will find directions to the club on the WRSC website, wrsc.org.uk, where the Notice of Race can also be found under the Coming Up section on the home page.

Enquiries to Laser Class Captain Tim Keighley, tel 0113 2609024.
