by Barnaby Smith 1 Mar 2014 08:29 GMT 15-16 March 2014

It's just two weeks to go to the 52nd Hamble Warming Pan event, being hosted by Hamble River Sailing Club on 15th and 16th March 2014.

The event organizers have now confirmed the final line up of classes. The seven fleets which will compete include the Merlin Rocket, Fireflys, National 12, Albacore, Enterprise & Foxer classes, together with a new addition for 2014, a group of Laser sailors based on the River Hamble.

The Merlin Rocket and Firefly classes will be using the Warming Pan as the first event in their respective annual travellers series, the Silver Tiller and Vines Trophies.

There will be two races each day for the Enterprise, Firefly, Merlin, Albacore and National 12 fleets. The Foxer fleet will compete in four races each day. Racing will start and finish on the HRSC club line, just five minutes sail from the launching area. The event Notice of Race is now available on the HRSC website. The first race on each day is scheduled for 1100 GMT.

Entry fees have been kept at the same level as last year, just £25 for double-handed crews and £12 for single-handers.

Food and drink will be available in the HRSC clubhouse on the Ferry Hard throughout the weekend.

Accommodation hints and other useful information are available on the Hamble River Sailing Club website.
