Marbleheads at the RYA Suzuki Dinghy Show

by UK M Class 27 Feb 2014 11:44 GMT Stand G46, 1-2 March 2014

Get along to the MYA stand (G46 West Hall) at this year's RYA Suzuki Dinghy Show to see the latest trends in top level racing machines. The Marblehead class has long been at the forefront in radio controlled yacht design and this year features 3 variations on current thinking within the class.

On show will be the latest Graham Bantock design 'Quark', the Stollery designed 'Crazy Tube Free' and an Australian 'Dreadnaught' by Australian designer Jeff Byerley.

Four-times World Marblehead Champion skipper and designer Graham Bantock and designer Roger Stollery will be amongst a small team of skippers to answer any questions you may have about the class from design and construction methods through to how to get involved in radio yachting.

The Marblehead Class in the UK is experiencing a fantastic resurgence with a great year ahead including:

  • 2014 Magic Marine Worlds in Gouda, the Netherlands, July
  • MYA National Championships in Keighley, May
and a host of National ranking races and GAMES events spread through the season, combined with regular club racing, offering plenty of opportunity for skippers to test themselves at the highest level of the sport.

If you can not get along to the show to take a closer look, you can keep up to date with all things UK Marblehead on the class website at marbleheadsailing.wordpress.com.
