Soto 40 class set for the Chiloé Islands Race

On January 25th the Soto 40 International Class will meet again in Chilean waters during the 2014 Chiloé Islands Race, the fifth event of the VTR Oceánico Championship. The event will take place in the Chiloé archipelago.

There are 11 registered boats for this event; Itaú, Santander, Yali, Entel, Mitsubishi, Pisco Black, Pisco Sour, Patagonia, Apolonia, Estampa DelViento and Bellavita II.

The activity will start on January 22nd with the registration and weighing of the crews, while the first races are scheduled on January 25th at the Club Náutico Reloncaví.

Once again, there will be live tracking of the races and the links to follow them in real time will be available on our website, www.soto40.org.

The provisional leader of the VTR Oceánico Championship is Jorge Araneda's "Santander", which has 55 points. Per Von Appen's "Entel" is in second place (74 pts) and Horacio Pavez's "Mitsubishi" is in third (83 pts).
