Visit Europe's First Boat Show in the New Year

Adventure seekers looking to kick-start 2014 should look no further than the London Boat Show, taking place on 4 - 12 January at ExCeL London. This world famous event is the place to take in the very best of the marine world, offering visitors everything they need to get active, get informed and get on board for the coming year.

The 2014 Show will see world famous brands return to ExCeL alongside the best of British manufacturers. A range of stunning boats will make their debut, including the Fairline Targa 48 GT and Princess Yachts V48, illustrating some of the most elegant design and skilled boatbuilding available.

The Show will host boats of every shape, size and variety as well as everything an enthusiast could possibly need and more – with both power and sail boats on boardwalks that will provide a stunning vista across the event. Nowhere else can so many boats, brands and products be experienced in one place. Visitors are able to see, touch and test all these products and receive face to face advice that cannot be matched.

This year the London Boat Show sees its 60th anniversary and will be celebrating in style with some fantastic attractions running through the nine-day Show, including:

  • Adventurous Cruising Zone – an exclusive opportunity to learn directly from the boat owners who have experienced the seas and industry experts who will share their knowledge on topics from navigation to boat handling and weather
  • America's Cup winner, Sir Ben Ainslie will be visiting the Show, bringing his JP Morgan BAR AC45 which will be on display to visitors. Meet the team and see this iconic catamaran up close!
  • The Watersports Pool presented by On The Water– take part in a range of activities from canoeing to Stand Up Paddleboarding in free taster sessions courtesy of the Rockley team
  • Watch top sailors compete in exciting regattas in the dock, racing yachts with Fine Art Sails. See the winner of a nationwide competition for schoolchildren to design an art sail in aid of the Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation, the Show's official charity for 2014
  • The Telegraph Cruise Show – from Friday 10 January to Sunday 12 January, visitors to the London Boat Show get two Shows for the price of one with ticket holders granted special access to the Telegraph Cruise Show*
Located at ExCeL, it couldn't be easier to visit the Show. Visitors can travel by bike, car or DLR. Alternatively why not take in the views of London and access the Show via cable car spanning the river from Greenwich to the Royal Docks. Tickets for the Show can be purchased in advance for a daily price of £10 or, new for this year, the London Boat Show is pleased to offer the perfect Christmas present, a bespoke Gift Voucher to visit the Show (while stocks last).
