Overview
Found at the Southern most tip of the beautiful Argolis Peninsula, Porto Heli is opposite the island on Spetses and stretches along a large bay which offers gently shelving, crystal clear waters and consistent winds - perfect swimming beaches and great sailing for all levels! A full range of our RYA courses and tuition is available with the latest boats and windsurf kit for you to try.
Watersports & Activities
Specialist Sailing CentrePorto Heli is a very pretty bay with idyllic swimming beaches and emerald coloured waters. As one of our Specialist Sailing Centres, it caters for Beginner to Advanced sailors and Beginner to Inter' Windsurfers. The gently shelving bay and clear, warm water with consistent wind makes the location ideal for water sports and family fun. Our private beach and water sports centre is fully equipped with all the latest boats from RS, Laser and Topper. Whether you are a newcomer to sailing, on a Taster Trip in our Kids Club, or need a refresher lesson or Advanced tuition from Spinnaker handling to Racing techniques, we offer it all!
We offer kayaking and paddleboarding (SUP-ing) with SUP lessons and Paddle cruises to a local beauty spot. You can pay for additional activities locally: such as boat trips, island hopping, jet-skiing, water ski/wake board, scuba, parasailing and yachting. Or just relax with a good book beside the hotel pool and bar, or on our private beach in front of the hotel. The clear waters make snorkelling and bathing very hard to resist!
Relaxation
In Porto Heli there's plenty happening around its large cosmopolitan harbour-side town. Quite an exclusive destination for Yachties it offers plenty of shopping, cafes, bars and Tavernas. As an island lush in vegetation with beautiful coves and beaches, there is fantastic snorkelling, walking, cycling and mountain biking to be had. Expect a huge variety of excursions such as wine tours and boat trips to nearby islands or cultural trips to the ruins and sites of civilisations past.
Mountain Biking
Our dedicated Bike Guide will help you with the best trails, tracks, sights and experiences. From a trip round the bay to routes that take you further afield, expert knowledge is always on hand to make sure you get the most out of your holiday. There are an incredible number of trails out of Porto Heli, stretching along the coast - all graded by us for difficulty and ability ensuring that you can find the best rides for your level. You can use our bikes all week - these are the superb 2014 Specialized Hard Rocks.
Walking
The surrounding area is relativey flat, so you don't need to be an avid hiker to see some of the best sights. The walking around Porto Heli are beautiful with gentle routes that pass through olive groves to headland paths and more challenging treks.. For a bit more adventure you can head into the nearby hills for a spectacular vistas which truly do the bay, and the Argolis Peninsula, justice.

- Porto Heli is perfecty positioned for trips to the archaeological sites of Mycenae and Epidavros
- The traffic free cobbled streets dotted with boutique shopping, museums and tavernas make a visit to the preserved Island of Hydra am holiday must for many
- If you are avid Laser sailor then Porto Heli offers superb conditions to make a move into the exhilarating RS100, with our enthusiastic instructors on hand you'll be flying around in a 100 in no time.
- Make the most of the Nautica Bay's tennis courts. Equipment is available from the Hotels reception.
- Take a ferry to the Island of Spetses and enjoy coastal walks and traditional Greek Tavernas.
- If you waterski, snowboard, or are just curious, why not try wakeboarding? The bay is a great place to try something new.
- Take part in our Sailing Races, a mix of silly and serious races to cater for all abilities. Takes place in the bay as well as beyond.
- Have a go at scuba diving. The clear, warm water is perfect for a Try Dive taster, or further with a PADI Open Water course.
- Head to Porto Heli old town for an evening of culture, dine in the old squares and enjoy wander through the cobbled streets, enjoying the warm evenings.
- A Hire car is a great way to enjoy some of the best beaches in Europe, all around the Argolis Peninsula.
- Take a Stand Up Paddleboard out and improve your technique with our fully qualified SUP instructors.
- Join in with our Paddle Cruises. These take you beyond the normal sailing area - at a lesiurley pace, enjoy the scenery and enjoy the social side, maybe stop for a swim!
- A trip to the Dolines caves (approx 12km), near Didina, is definitely worth doing. Inside each cave is a small church! One for Saint Georgiou and one for Saint Sotira.
