Zeus2 dedicated sailing chartplotter, brings performance and integration to sailors' fingertips

B&G, the world's leading sailing navigation and instrument specialist, is pleased to introduce the new Zeus2 chartplotter. Packed full of B&G's dedicated sailing features, Zeus2 is designed for cruising yachts, cruiser/racers and racing boats. Zeus2 offers enhanced sail navigation features such as SailTime calculations, which display Time To Waypoint, Distance To Waypoint and Estimated Time of Arrival at waypoint using layline calculations.

Navigators and cruising enthusiasts alike will benefit from Enhanced Laylines, which offer the ability to view tacking angles on your Zeus2 chartplotter, even without an active waypoint. While the Enhanced Tides sail navigation function offers internal tidal calculations and Navionics® Dynamic Tides and Currents data (requires Navionics Platinum+ cartography) to ensure a clear overview of tides and currents.

Zeus2 also boasts SailSteer, a composite sailing screen unique to B&G, which combines key sailing data into one clear display. The SailSteer navigation screen shows Heading and COG, Current Layline, Calculated Tide, True Wind Angle indicator, Rudder Angle Indicator and Opposite Tack Layline to name but a few features. All data is shown relative to the boat — so it's quick and easy to relate to the realities of sailing.

Zeus2 stands out from the crowd, with multi-touch screen and intuitive menus, sailors can pinch-to-zoom and quickly swipe their way through navigation options. Thanks to dual chart slots, navigators can choose to add C-MAP® and/or Navionics® mapping, Insight Genesis custom bathymetric maps and/or NV Charts.

From the ultra-fast processor, which offers seamless chart redraw and super sharp graphics, to the bonded glass, bright LED backlit screen, every inch of the Zeus2 has been engineered to provide style and performance in the toughest of environments, whether racing or cruising.

Zeus2 integrates seamlessly with the sailboat's network supporting Broadband 4G™ Radar, AIS, CZone Digital Switching, sensors, instruments and much more. Perfect for the sailor who likes to spend more time on the water than reading manuals, the Zeus2 has an array of options to help improve on water navigation and maximise sailing success.

Zeus2 is compatible with GoFree wireless technology when paired with a WIFI-1 module, so you can control and view charts, radar and many other features of the Zeus2 via your tablet—wherever you are on board. You can even view data on your Smartphone and carry a chartplotter in your pocket!

Leif Ottosson, CEO of Navico, parent company to B&G said: "We're proud to welcome Zeus2 as the latest member of the dedicated B&G sailing-specific family of chartplotters, navigational products and instrument systems. From the SailSteer screen to internal tidal calculations, every part of the Zeus2 has been designed to meet the unique needs of sailors."

Zeus2 chartplotters will be available from Spring 2014, with the Zeus2 7-inch starting from $1629 (SRP)/ €1399/£1185 Excl. VAT. To find out more about the B&G passion for sailing and the award-winning range of sailing electronics and navigational products, visit www.bandg.com.
