Cadet Class World Championships in Poland - Day One

The Cadet World Championships started yesterday in Gdynia, Poland and is running until the 1st of August. Winds were South-East, 2-3 m/s. The British team had a great start with Pippa Wilson & Charlie Hatfield taking the first race.

Hunting for wind on Lake Lipno As the bright orange sun was starting to set behind the hills surrounding Lake Lipno the fleet of over 100 Cadet boats made their way back towards the beach, some being towed by their support team's RIBs but most with their spinnakers. Being surrounded by hills and mountains has the inevitable effect So far the conditions on Lake Lipno have provided for excellent and challenging sailing, however being surrounded by hills and mountains can mean that the winds are shifty and can be light at time, and this proved to be the case on day 3.
