It was the final instalment of the Gorleston Sprint series on Sunday. Raced around large windward leeward courses and sailed on the first Sunday of each month throughout the season, 31 boats completed in the 22 race series.

Conditions have been extremely good this year with most days sunny with F3-4 winds. Whilst we had the sun for the final day, the wind was light and off the cliffs producing some shifty conditions. The racing was dominated by the single-hander fleet with Chris Sallis in his D-One working the shifty conditions best to win the first three of the four races. Dave Houghton sailing his recently acquired RS300 claimed three seconds and a first in the final race.

The final results were close with overall series winners Phil & Tamsin Highfield sailing an RS500 beating Dave Houghton and John Symonds in another RS500 by one point. Third place was taken by Richard Fryer and Carol Smalls in a RS400 who beat David Brief sailing a Shadow X by just two points.
