7-8 September 2013
The Scottish and Northern Squib championships were held at Royal Tay Yacht Club over 2 days on 7th/ 8th Sept. Two races were held each day, three to count, over a windward-leeward course.
Breezy conditions prevailed on the Saturday making some interesting sailing and conditions had modified a little on the Sunday. As usual there was great competition with two boats vying for the honours.
Sandy Bremner and Malcolm Worsley (776 Thunder) won both races on Saturday, and Boyd Baird and Keith Furness (505 Tefnut) won both on Sunday. Both tied on points but Boyd and Keith were overall winners by dint of the last race result.
Sadly the RTYC Squibs are now being taken off their moorings, after a great season of sunny sailing, before the Autumn gales arrive.
