Cadet National Championships at South Caernarvonshire Yacht Club Day 3

Day 3 of the Cadet Nationals being held at South Caernarvonshire Yacht Club in Abersoch dawned with bright sunshine and a light 8 knot Northerly breeze.
The day was to be challenging for both the competitors and race committee as the wind swung hugely left/right in direction and up/down in strength.
In race 6 of the championship, it was another entry from Belgium, Joris Vangeneudgen and Jan Smet who led throughout to hold of Lucy and Cally Terkelsen from Stone Sailing Club and their countrymen Seepe Greeve and Cedric Boven.
In race 7, the conditions were tough to manage as the wind direction swung to the west. Jack and Laura Hardie from Frensham Pond coped with this well to secure the race win. Arran Holman and Lucie Offord from Hollowel/Waldringfield were 2nd followed by Alex Page and Aaron Chadwick from Alton Water/Fishers Green.
Elsa Cooney and Luke Minchin from Waldringfield lead the bronze fleet having scored a 2nd and 1st on Wednesday, holding off the challenge from club mates Mary Sacker and Lucy Nunn.
With the wind now in the South West, a change of conditions expected for Thursday's racing when it is planned to hold 3 races to conclude the 10 race series.
