The third staging of the Ian 'Perc' Perdriau Sportsman's Challenge and Reunion for sailors and supporters will be held at the Sydney Flying Squadron on Saturday 31 August - and all interested parties are invited to attend.

This now annual gala occasion has developed (as the organisers had hoped) into the perfect excuse to celebrate the life of Perc Perdriau - and for all of Sydney's skiffies and yachties to catch up and have some fun before the sailing season gets underway.

Once again, the fabulous Richard Winning Perpetual Trophy will be fought for by the contesting teams, and last year's Champion Team 'The Grinners' will be there to defend their title.

A new Mobility Challenge feature event has been added to the sports line up, titled 'The Slaughterhouse Bay Gift; a handicap foot race for all comers.

The Prawn Peeling and Eating Challenge is sure to be hotly contested again, but there are several new sports to take part in, to be revealed on the day.

Here's a tip.... If you wish to enter a team for this years 'Perc', you should think about a mixture of male and females with multiple skill sets.

Go to the Perc Perdriau website for all the event details and last year's photos.

Another attraction on the day will be the first showing of the Myra Too hull in the boat park. Bob McCleod will be there to explain his construction method of this beautiful wooden Billy Barnett replica. It's well worth an inspection visit.
