Comet Trio National Championships at Exe Sailing Club

by Guy Farrant 4 Aug 2013 20:14 BST 2-4 August 2013

The Comet Trio National Championship held at Exe SC attracted 24 entries; a good turn out with a large range of ages including 11 juniors. Designer Phil Morrison was the race officer.

In champagne conditions with plenty of waves to play with there was some very competitive racing which included 2 general recalls and a black flag, 5 races were completed over Friday and Saturday.

Unfortunately racing on Sunday was abandoned as the wind was 20-31 kts.

Iain Horlock and Debbie Woodcock in Wild Thing repeated their previous victory of 2009 closely followed by Les Arscott and Chris Rhodes, all from Exe. Darren and Callum Padro from Shustoke secured third place.
